Take it Back

Black King, regain the throne,

Get back to the place where you belong,

Take back what was once yours,

And not what they tell you is yours,

Aren't you mad and just can't stand it?

The kingdom was made for you, the perfect fit,

Opression became your very being,

Because they saw the God in you and didn't like

what they were seeing..

But it isnt just them holding you back,

The black queens have added to the weight on your back,

They take what they are being fed to be true,

So in reality they aren't supporting you,

My king where is it that you walk?

My king let me hear you roar.

My king shut them out when they talk.

My king pry open the door.

My king they said you couldn't have it.

My king I need you to want even more.

My king let me be your backbone, your right hand

and whatever else you need and more...

They said you weren't suitable for the throne,

But don't they know it is your rightful home!

Rise up, acknowledge the King of Kings,

And he shall providewhatever you need,

He will make sure that your crown won't

fall this time.

But first, do you even want this?

You seem to wear you new label proud,

Not even wanting to see what it is you miss,

Don't you realize you aren't supposed to blend

with the crowd,

Never hide who you really are..

So stand up my king,

and let me see you take it back.

Just a young woman who enjoys expressing herself, I love writing and poetry is my life partner. I am attracted to like minded people, who understands the struggle of not being able to say what's on your mind but can write a whole novel about it.
