Take it slow

I save the songs you like on a playlist so that I may better understand you

I see the screen light up and I pray that it’s you

I extend my hand in invitation and wonder if you see through me

I hope I’m not overstepping when I say I admire you

I have dreams of dancing on hardwood floors

I could be the one to pick you up if you needed to smile

If you really knew, could I even be something worth considering

I don’t expect you to be mine tomorrow

But I pray to God that you’re here for a reason
