Take me

Take one hit, my voice recedes One last song, I let him lead One more tear, to wash my sin I curse my god, I know it’s him I bow my head, deep in prayer But I still feel like he’s not there I say the words but are they vain I still have faith, through all my pain I am crying and still I think of you You promised so much that you can do I think of love, of my life, of joy It is everything, I’ve had destroyed. But I lie in the bed that you have made My sins laid before me, yes I am afraid Understand, without you, I am consumed I drown in darkness, to be forever doomed. Please forgive me God as I’ve always been With bloodshot eyes and white pale skin I’ve been buried but for you I still weep Please lord, my soul is yours to keep
