Take a Seat

walk into the room

i’ve seen you before but i don’t know who you are

all i know is i dreamed you couldn’t kill me

you carved and jabbed but you couldn’t

you couldn’t, and i lived in fear.

i knew you couldn’t

but you were everywhere

broke me down until i wished you could

i wonder,

in whose place

was your face?
