Take a Second

Stop.

Take a second.

Stop what you're doing, and listen to me.

Find the closest bathroom you can find.

Take a long glare in the mirror.

Think for a second and answer to yourself:

What do you see?

Do you see a graceful stream of beauty or do you see an

Avalanche that causes destruction? So much destruction

That it surprises you that the glass did not shatter.

What do you see?

Do you see a person that is blurred and transparent, or someone

Who is clear and bold? Bold and on top of the world.

What do you see?

Do you see a silent cry for help or a uproarious smile? A smile so

Bright, it lights up the room.

Take a second.

What do I see?

I see a clear and bold, yet graceful stream of beauty.

Yet, although you try to show an uproarious smile,

All I can see is a silent cry for help.

I see the pain and invisible tears in your twinkling eyes.

Take a second. Look at yourself.

Do not think, just clear your mind and take a long look.

Study every curve, examine every color.

See the beauty that is staring directly back at you.

See the angel who cares for everyone around them.

See the wonder who hypnotized everybody who looks them in the eyes.

See the mystery who wants to be solved.

You think you are and poison, begging to be cured.

A curse, waiting to be broken, yet feeling as though you already are.

You are not what you see; do not let your eyes deceive you.

You are a masterpiece, the embodiment of perfection.

So, take a second

And listen to me.

You are incredible,

Though you can't see.
