Take the Stage

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Age 5, a lion

Age 7, a zoo keeper

Age 10, A vet

Age 12, an astronaut

We never really know what we want,

but what do I want to be?

That’s obvious

Age 17, a performer

Going to college, I make my dreams come true

Meet people.

Sing with friends, Dance with friends, Act with friends

Do it all.

The Arts are my passion and letting my creativity flow

makes me smile, it makes me happy, it makes me who I am

I make my memories, record some music, become everything

I wanted to be

Take the stage

Confess my passion for the arts

Bright lights shine upon my face

The warmth of the lights, of the people’s smiles

The applause and cheers fill my ears like water

this is it

I’ve done what I wanted

I brought joy, entertainment, music

I have done it
