Take a Stand
Nobody gone hold me down
I am a man and constantly getting put down
In this world I am surrounded by hate
You take one look at me and discriminate
Paying me the lowest of the lows
Getting hit by society’s invisible blows
Nobody gone to hold me down
I am a man and constantly getting put down
My head held up high
Your judging me as I walk by
Because my skin is as dark as the midnight sky
Nobody gone to hold me down I am a man
I am a black man I will continue to say it loud
I am a black man and I am Proud
