Take a Stand

Many people feel they do not have a voice

Many feel like they are better left unheard

Or unseen

That is not the truth

Even if we both believe it

I want you to do me a favor,

I don’t want you to lend me an ear

I want you to whisper

Or shout

In someone else’s

You need to know you must be heard and seen

Whether boy

Or girl

Or another

Whether dark

Or light

Whether you do not love

Or fall smitten daily

You are heard by people you just don’t know yet

As you are alive and you need to use that for the good it is
