Take a Walk into Their Shoes

Step into their shoes

Take a step, and a walk

For you shall learn how they

Could never talk

Those across the streets

Thought differently

To their defeat,

They chose not to retreat

They could not share,

Forced to watch the whites

Living a luxurious life

No longer can they bear

So they fought back in despair

Looked down upon by the whites

Shouting left and right

The mobs were willing to fight

But no one could help with earning my rights
