Taken For granted

She smiles and laughs to hide her cries. He can see the pain in her eyes, So he smiles to let her know it will be ok. His heart breaks for her everyday. She feels she's on her own but she's blind He's alway been there, just slightly behind. Confused because she's used to people leaving He gave his word and that ends when he stops breathing. So he looks into her eyes and smiles She thinks he's crazy and will leave after awhile His intentions are pure and true He won't leave because he truly cares for you She finally understood too late Only after he was laid to rest with an expiration date
