Taken By Temptation

There's an intangible outside force that consumes me.

It's dark, fierce, and rugged.

I become enveloped by it, wrapped in its jaws, as I aimlessly fall into its deep, boundless abyss.

Lifeless and defeated, I lay alone in the depths of my own blundering solitude.

Swiftly, an entity sweeps across my spiritless body.

It whispers sweet songs of selfish sorrows and deceit in my ears.

Little did I know, 'twas the soul of my wicked desires.
