Takes Me Here

Beautiful, soaring, so high Deep as the river a mile wide Touch the soul and shed a tear Poetry brings me here The whisper of a secret and a touch of the divine Its the rhythm and the rhyme Living and breathing It's heart felt faith; believing Sweet as a dream half lost in life Finding strength in a pad and pen to face strife Courage to speak my mind Strength to seek and find It's the permanency of pad and pen The eternal remnant of 55 men Freedom of expression Pull me out of depression Like an embrace so dear Poetry brings me here
