Taking Action

There are people who cry out for help

Using their weary voices to ask for action

But the people walk on by 

Stuck in their own distraction

How many could be saved?

If we threw out inaction

The people talk of helping

But they have no traction

No matter the cause

The people just wait

Watching the hurting, the homeless, the hungry

As though seperated by a gate

There is no gate

No time to wait

Take a stand 

Change the land

Take up the banner and answer the call

Don't wait for others to do it all
