Taking in the Moment
This energy
Is both prophetic and synthetic
If the mind writes the tragedy ahead of time
You know that it can take away what should be mine.
Just like every time.
Gurgling up from the places I don't want to believe are a part of me
Is it genetic,
to be so pathetic.
All these emotions are prosthetic.
Nothing but fear.
I have faced it and dwelled with it.
Without me there to do its bidding
Would my fear die? Who am I kidding.
Without my fear here to define me,
could I accept what I see inside me?
