This Tale is True and Mine

This tale is true and mine, that I have come this far is only by grace divine. Filled with cloudy days, I was surely afraid, but the advice from peers and old alike is the reason I’ve been saved. This path is not a road but an extremely run down trail. It is filled with the ones who have given up and wait for death to prevail. Here lie the ditches, pot holes, cracks, and nails filled with deathly storms, lightning strikes, and hail. Through the perseverance of others and the magnificent accomplishments of prominent people from many a race, I am able to ride this horse called life with my fellow sisters and so-called brothers like a steeple without the chase. I bow on heavy knee and can seldom only pray that this hard work and determination that I possess will pay off for me someday. But through the thick gray clouds, comes a shimmer of pure gold light. And this is how I know without a doubt that my future will be very bright.
