A Tale of Two Extremes

To love

Has proven to be

One of the most difficult struggles of being human.

The tear in your core

The void in your stomach

The shock and paralysis,

Of heartbreak-

But such passion

Requires its counterpart,

It is merely proof that your love exists

Suddenly

The tear

The void

The shock,

Is outmatched, by

The power in your spirit,

The warmth in your soul,

The words that were spoken

And the experiences that proved them

Thinking of him,

Stroking my hair

Like each strand is a harp string,

Creating a melody

That no words could do justice,

Causes shockwaves through my body

Sending lightning bolts out my fingertips.

Suddenly,

You realize your capability

Is not from the adrenaline

Coursing through your veins

Or the smile that you wore that night,

It is from the strength inside your bones

Your mind

As well as your heart.

Enabling you to not only love,

But love

Beautifully.

Dangerously.

Loudly.
