Tales of a man in the right body
Drowning it in white wine
White crimes placed upon me
They say I'm a man trapped in a woman's body
How can that be?
I used to love me
Scared of myself and my anatomy
This ain't the man that I’m supposed to be
Surgical solutions won't fix the pain inside of me
Detached, unattached
Tales of a man
I'm tellin you i'm real what dont you understand
You lookin at me crazy
This aint the man im supposed to be
They say a man's manhood is hidden somewhere in his genitals
Where’s mine?
A penis was never on my timeline
The younger me was stuck on being man enough
Stuck on being tough enough
Toxic in my masculinity enough
The only part of manhood that seemed to matter in this world was ones physicality
I was mad at me
Why wasn’t I man enough?
Why wasn’t I strong enough?
Why wasn’t my voice deep enough?
No one would love a man without a dick
No one would understand my soul
The younger me needed different body parts to feel whole
But see that aint me no more
I'm leaving that boy in the past
My spirit is what makes me a man
I am man enough, no description needed
My soul speaks even when I choose not to listen
My body is not the enemy
This is a man body
I've been afraid of myself for too long
