Talia, On The Day After

I know it’s cliché,

but I know how you feel

Your chest aches as if a huge weight crushes

your ribs its hard to breathe,

hard for your heart to beat, but it throbs.

unbearable pressure on your heart

not the metaphorical heart of I love you,

but literally, you heart hurts.

Something you’ve never felt with such great intensity.

Wishing you could take the pain away

with silly little pills of Advil, you weep.

knowing those tan red pills won’t bring him back,

makes its hurt more.

You miss him, you hate him,

Right? You hate him for leaving,

for dying, I know.

I know it doesn’t help to say that I love you

and I’m here, but I do and I am.

Don’t hold back your tears, ever.

Let them out.

Let them go.

Don’t let go of the memories, ever.

Hold on forever

Let us cry and reminisce together.
