Talk

Some people say a lot & in the moment, they may actually mean it.
But when they say one thing & do another, those words mean nothing.

There is power in the tongue. That is truth. Words can either lift you up
or strike you down.

The beautiful thing about spoken word is it is from one's heart.
Poetry allows us to be vulnerable but in an more accepting environment.

When you tell someone you are going to do something then don't.
You lose that power you had. Say what you mean & mean what you say.

But more than anything, do what you mean & let that do the talking.
Anyone who knows me knows I talk a lot. I can obviously admit that.

But I also write a lot, sing a lot, dance a lot, & laugh a lot.
I do lots of things. But the most important of these is, I do everything with love.

I am not perfect, far from it.
But I do everything in my power to show love & let what I do show who I am.

I am a fighter, I am a lover, I am strong because I have been weak.

I am not ashamed to let a tear fall if I can't hold back.
And every tear that has left my eyes, has made me that much stronger.

Sometimes you just have to cleanse your soul.
Crying, writing, singing, dancing, they all cleanse my soul.

It is who I am. Music is in my heart, it comes out naturally.

And as I continue to grow older I am learning to express myself better
and go after all my dreams.

I have many passions & I am so happy to be able to share
them now more than ever.

So people, don't just talk. Don't be the person that people will remember you as "all talk"
Live up to your words & walk the walk as well.

People may forget some words, but they will never forget what you did to them,
how you treated them. That is what will remain in their memory.

So, how do you want people to remember you?
And more importantly, how do you perceive yourself?

Will you like the flashbacks you'll have on your deathbed?
Think about it.

Speak life. And live your life to the fullest.

Do what you love & then love will surround you at every moment.
No matter where you are.
