Talk about faith ... satire

Romans 13:9

9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,”  “You shall not bear false witness,”

“You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

We smile at assurance in our search for a fortune

We talk about faith a lot like it can be purchased

We scoff at endurance when we miss a portion

as our chosen base is crumbling as we nurse it

Children of depravity acting like we’re holy

Covering our filth with garments bought on credit

Losing our sanity in our travels to oppose

God’s will for our lives by developing good habits
