A Talk With Death
"The will to live,
the strength to fight,
cannot save you,
I'll guide you to an endless night,
come to me,
I'll be your last sight,
speak my name,
I'll be your fright."
"I will live,
I will fight,
speak your name,
that's not quite right."
"Dare me,
watch me,
hear me now,
if I say,
you shall bow,
the place is here,
the time is now,
I won't kill you,
but I shall take thou."
"I am not afraid,
you frighten me not,
go back to where,
you came from and rot."
"Speak my name,
gravel for thy life.
Succumb to my wills,
and chills,
and bumps in the night."
"I,
am not afraid.
You scare me not.
I will not fall,
I shall not see the light!"
"Pity."
"Stay away from me."
"Pity."
"Back away from thee."
"Stupid."
"Leave me alone!"
"Say it,
say my name,
scream it loud."
"Never."
"Scream it to the Heavens,
scream it down below."
"I will not!"
"You panic,
I laugh,
now say it."
"You cannot control me."
"Say it."
"Death."
"...Thank you."
And I succumbed.
