Talking Theoretical

I want to write a theory

That there is always someone out there for you

That one random stranger somewhere wants to hear your story

And maybe you just need someone to listen

But no one has an ear for it

Your stranger is probably in Guam

Or Turkey

Or Papau New Guinea

Or the barista that made your coffee wrong tuesday moning

Or the crossing walk lady you pass everymorning on your walk to work

Or the dog walker that passes your flat at approximately 5:50 every tuesday

Or the man whose worked in the cubical next to you since 2010

I mean if you look at the people you "know"

They are more than likely still strangers in your life

Just as much of a stranger as the stranger in Guam

Or Turkey

Or Papau New Guinea

They probably have problems just like the rest of them

Just like you

So

Smile

Shake hands

Ask about days and nights

Talk about why you like your coffee

With 2 pumps of molassass and one pup of caramel, No foam on top

Talk about how you like that comute, because there is less traffic noise

Talk about how you think your pup, Ozzie, might enjoy a walk in the afternoon before you get home

Talk about how the christmas party last year was wild

Just talk

The world would be so much more sound

If we talk, instead of walking on by

Cause more than likely

You will walk by the person who is out there for you

Longing for your story
