The Talking Tree

There is a whisper in the forest It sits on the edges of consciousness, Creeps into conversation and says: I Am Here. Leave the trees and the whisper is lost. The footsteps and laughter and shouts drown it out, but it is never completely gone. In the forest again the whisper is silent, But those words still beat in your chest: I Am Here.
