Tall

i thought i stood tall

5 foot 5

but in reality;barely alive

eaten away by

the lies

the pain

it was all driving me insane

everyone

  screaming,

           yelling,

                   shouting

to move on, it was just the past

but they were right , it was just the past

-the past-

what kept me angry

what kept me from my dreams

what kept me bottled up

all the fights, arguing,

the dreams that couldn’t get out of my head

the thoughts, the memories, the screw ups,

over and over again

 Until that one day came

The day where I finally saw the top of the mountain

The light of the tunnel

Tell the world she’s back

The new me was here

And she was here to stay

To take a stand for what was right

Putting my happiness first

And no one could stand in my way

Because now

I Do Stand Tall 5 Foot 5

And I’m fully alive
