That Tall Ride

Facing my fear,

Something I never want to near,

But all I hear

Is "Face your fear!"

Seeing that tall ride,

Up so high in the sky,

Made me want to hide,

And lay down and cry.

My sister begged me to go,

But all I said was "No,

That ain't my mojo,

Let's go to the game show!"

She ran to the line,

Taking my shaking hand,

So I said "Fine,

This is not what I planned."

Facing my fear,

Something I had to near,

And all I hear,

Is "You faced your fear!"
