The Tallest Tree
I may have to climb the tallest tree
to see what's right infront of me
what should i expect to see?
I anticipate a good show
so with my arms and hands that had never let me down
I lift myself off the cold ground
that is where I started long ago
I clmbed through rain, storms, and snow
I may have to climb the tallest tree
to see what's right infront of me
I'm half way up and haven't fallen yet
I'm worried but I will not fret
I scraped my knees and hurt my arm
like most I have my scars
I look around to see the view
the sky is the darkest blue
like the sun, the moon has charm
I see the stars, they seem so far
through the branches i have yet to climb
I cannot rest, I can't waste time
I may have to climb the tallest tree
to see what's right infront of me
one day I will reach the top
remember almost every stop
the branches that broke and made me stumble
the angry thoughts that made me mumble
I do not know what I will see
looking from atop this tree
but I know i will succeed
becouse my life is a battle
and I will not accept defeat
