Tangled

once upon a time

upon a time

a time

time

the amount of time one has-

limited-

trapped in the tower of her own emotions

that she built from the ground up

she’s tangled

unnoticed by all

or so she believes-

her depression holds her captive,

she can’t hear them call out her name

rapunzel let down your hair

but she can’t

she’s restrained, uncappable of moving

she’s trying to break free from her isolation but it’s

not so

simple.

simple.

simplicity.

life is simple

life is depicted as a beautiful picture worth living

living

is she even living?

if time is just a mere illusion

and mankind lives to die

why does she feel so captivated to stay

alive?

why can’t Rapunzel just let down her hair?

well that’s because life isn’t a fairy-tale
