Tanya

Beauty

The ever-present luxury of one’s presence to one’s mind

Sweet

A rarity that gleams within you

Chemistry

The scientific measure of our magnificent connection

Humorous

Through which unforgettable laughter flows through you and through you to others

Are you indeed a library book?

For I am certainly checking you out

Reading every page with gentle caution

I refuse to fold the corners to hold my place

For every corner is as precious as the whole

Precious in that you possess the ability

To be a beautiful person both outside and in

A rarity, like a species of its own

I preserve the space you take place in

For a friend like one who throws popcorn over cars

With such perfect execution that the moment it connected

The world stopped for just a second because it forgot what it was orbiting

A rarity, to encompass so many talents and abilities

Yet still have time to eye me for a minute ;)

Let me hold you for a second

To remember how you made my day

No I don’t exaggerate

I just like to brag about the people I am so fortunate to know

One so beautiful, sweet and real

Like a nurse you have bandaged a wound

And made me feel like the spinning of a wheel

Moving with a purpose

One would think we had known each other forever

But the beauty of only knowing for a semester

Is experiencing what has yet to be experience

A wonderful success in the making

And an exceptional friend for the taking

To which the world marvels at what they are missing

That is Tanya in a nutshell <3

I am a slam poet fanatic, and a lot of my work deals with things we appreciate in our youth, issues we deal with, and just to celebrate parts of life. All of my poems though end off with some kind of moral to come away with
