Tar Filled Eyes

I've watched so many souls get lost in sorrow and despair,

their eyes are empty, and they think no one cares

the demons in the night are whispering in their ears,

"No one loves you, just come with me and see, this back tar

will have you crawling on your knees..."

The house is empty & the smell is stagnant,

they think it's heroin, but that ain't it.

Their skin is crawling, they hear the syringe calling.

Load it up, shoot it, make yourself feel less.

I know you're hopeless...

Please baby, please don't do this!

I'm sick of looking into the face of death,

I'm sick of telling another mother there's nothing more I can do..

I'm sick of being on my side of the line,

How can I think I can save the world if I can't even save you?
