What is the taste?
What is the sensation?
What is the feeling?
It is a feeling
Of warmth
Of comfort
Of sweetness.
The sensation
Is that of
A thousand suns
Rose petals
Grazing your lips
Water to the soul
Quenching your thirst
Each and every time.
The taste is that
Of a fresh
Chocolate chip cookie
Honey fresh from the hive
A brownie with extra chocolate
Freshly scooped ice cream
Sweet cherry pie.
How do I know this?
I have the joy
Of getting to savor
The sweet taste
Of my lovers kiss.
