A Tasteful Drive

A rusted coast Adorned with bronzed flowers And a sugared lane. The mountains are dipped in chocolate And the skies are a clouded vanilla Threatening to drench us In sweetened pain. If I tread this path must I diverge? Am I going or coming And if I meet someone do I use words? Or a fleeting glance? Can't I just stop here And with you dance Dance Dance this day into night And then lay here Under the sugar coated clouds, With the rusted wild flowers, Curl up, perhaps, with the undefined curves Of this path. We need not venture forth, We will later, Of course, But as of right now We need only each other For an adventuring source. Because we are the roads leading to tomorrow And together we will come To walk as one Away from these sorrows.
