Tattoo

If I die today, Do not print me on a shirt. Immortalized on temporary fabric That will deteriorate over time. When my body is buried, Do not represent me through tattoo. Immortalized on borrowed skin Because you too will be put in a box. Once my heart stops beating, Do not cry for me. Immortalized in mournful tears That will evaporate into nothing. When I let go of life, Do not do, for me Because my lifeless body cannot see, In eternal rest, just let me be If I die today.
