These tattoos are like memories in the skin of my soul.

Permanent, but ever changing,

With the ever stretching skin like the distortion of forgetting,

Forgetting the pain of the needle in my mind with every passing year-

These tattoos are like memories in the skin of my soul.

Faded adventures of a days past,

But no way to get back to the days past,

Before the gentle destruction-

These tattoos are like memories in the skin of my soul.

Eating away at my body and mind,

Constant reminders of decisions good and bad,

Many a sharp pain in my side, and inside, in permanent ink-

These writings sprawled on my body,

Forever a part of me,

Forever all of me-
