Tattoos

I like to listen to the Blues
When I'm getting my tattoos.
There's something about the feeling,
of how it sends your body reeling
into such a feeling of satisfaction.
It's like a chain reaction...

As the needle touches your skin,
Here comes that grin!
And you know what's coming??
It's that wonderful feeling, of hearing that
tattoo needle humming!

Almost like a thousand bee stings
Your skin knows EXACTLY what's happening!
But you can't wait to see what it looks like,
Even if it's just the outline of a dude on his bike.

Your skin is starting to throb
Yea, your ink-slinger's doing his job...
And he knows exactly what he's doing!
Right now he's adding some blue in, on my left shin,
and man does it hurt!
Three and a half hours, tattooing flowers, and the
pain is coming in spurts!

You think to yourself. "How much longer?"
I thought I had a stronger, threshold for pain!
And, "I don't know if I'll ever do this again!"

But you know that you are.
You might as well start searching for change in your car,
Or get a part-time job at a Titty Bar, cause
you'll want "just one more."
That'll probably turn into at least four!

And when your ink is still heeling,
And your skin has started peeling,
It'll be worth what you paid
Cause everything you were afraid, of didn't happen.

Your friends say, "Your ink-slinger's a righteous dude!"
"Everyone needs to be tattooed...by him!"

And he says, "Make an appointment," and
"Don't forget your ointment, cause it'll heal
better that way."
"In fact, I've got a spot come open today!"
And you're thinking.....OKAAAY!!!!
