Tea Peakaboo
Images of you flash by like a fabliau-
as I sit here holding on to thoughts of you.
You are a bireme of emotions gone per diem!
Trying to catch you is like grasping steam !
Moments fly by before I realize-
that all I am left with is dew!
Words like"I love you" are no more bijou-
when my heart is facing yours my perdue!
Such words agleam my soul into a slue-
capsizing my present like a canoe!
The water has boiled and the tea has to brew-
so with my palms I lift the lid and I feel it nettle adieu!.
Reality abscises dreams like a fire gone so todo-
only surrounding this mare and her buckaroo!
Where hearts share love - a guise-
of happiness that seems so lulu-
circumstance will always win this peekaboo!
Author notes
