Teach the Little Children

What is the point of growth? What is the point of connection? Failure succeeds - what? That was success? - always. There is not growth of the connection Of this brain, so tears laugh constantly. Silence screams and shouts outside, Echoing in the crowding mind That cannot release. For tears And shivers, what is the cure? A little hand reaches up and grasps My hand tenderly, with shining sun Beaming from young hopeful, cheerful Eyes that calm the echoing; Eyes that raise the silence. There are ears to empty the crowd All so willingly, so I shall Lift my voice, lift my smile and teach What this little hand and all the others Around me have taught. Life grows And is good. There is laughter.
