"Teach Me"
Teach Me
Teach me to breathe, teach me to be human,
to be a student pulling from all of those before.
Teach me to think my own thoughts, teach me to be thorough,
to be critical with purpose and rapport.
Teach me to be proud, teach me to be humble,
to be as life giving as the oldest tree.
Teach me to be honest, teach me to be passionate,
to be no one else but me.
