Teachers

Public school teachers, the backbone of society

Expected to teach our future.

Intercity teachers, strong, necessary

Expected to teach our future,

While students are facing external issues,

Hunger, abandonment, abuse, violence.

Teachers set out to

Enlighten students,

Encourage students to dream,

Create model citizens,

Open eyes to imagination,

See the potential in all.

Teachers work day in and out,

Creating lesson plans,

Grading papers,

Answering emails,

Attending meetings,

Preparing the classroom.

Teachers are

Role models,

Educators,

Listeners,

Problem Solvers,

Our future.

Public school teachers, the backbone of society

Expected to teach our future.

Intercity teachers, strong, necessary

Expected to teach our future,

While students are facing external issues,

Hunger, abandonment, abuse, violence.
