Teaching

Mr. Spiers, 20th Century history,

My favorite teracher,

My favorite class,

He is my insperation.

He is my reason for going  to college

I want him to be proud,

More than my own father.

Mrs. Hall, guidence councilor extrodenare,

Aid through the years,

Poking and kicking my butt

(When needed of course)

She is the reason I wanted to help others,

She is why I was able to go to college,

I want to make her work worthwhile,

As she found my career choice worthwhile.

I want to be a teacher,

Nothing bringing in money,

Nothing easy either,

I want to help people learn ,

I want to watch students grow.

This I will be happy doing

Even without the respect

Or the Money.

Teaching is my passion

The one passion

That changed my life.

This will be my career,

the expanding of minds,

The answering of questions,

Who knows who I will teach?

The next Einstien or the next Hitler?

I don't care,

I wish to teach those who will learn.

The passion is my own.
