Teaching Future Leaders

They watch you grow up

As each year passes by.

For one year only

They have the power to touch your life.

But they don't really know what you take when you leave.

Because they gave you so much more than the ability to do math,

Or write, or read.

They cared for you, protected you, and taught you how to behave.

They were strong when you were weak, and they showed you how to be brave.

Teachers impact children's lives in so many ways.

They empower their students to go out and seize the day.

America needs presidents, politicians, even sports teams.

But America also needs teachers:

The ones who believe in them,

Help them learn,

And teach them to dream.
