teaching is a gift

Once again I find myself in your class

And I find myself staring at your back like I did in the past

We consider complaining but you will not listen

I bet you couldn’t even look around the class and tell who was missing

It’s no secret that you don’t care if we pass your class anyway

Time and time again I ask myself why

Do you simply give us busy work so time can just fly bye

I just want you to know I rather teach myself

Then to watch you write stuff on the board and then complain how one class is doing better than the rest

I just thought you should know that teaching is a gift

And writing down stuff we don’t understand it not going to help us worth a shit

Teach us rather than giving us you back

And just maybe you students will start giving a crap

Being an active learner and staying engaged is what we hear

But I will be dam if I put up with this bullshit for the rest of the year

Everyone is different no one is the same

So do me a favor and at lease start by learning your students name
