It's time I say this
In all honesty I hate this
Because this nation was born from a forsaken generation
That dreamed of uplifting and mitigating the statements
Of those who tried to break us
Now WE are the opressors

We need to pressure the presses
Tell them "Every life is precious"
These days hatred is inherent;
Defiling our predecessors

Equality is what we need, yet lack
This nation is depressing
Because two people in love
Are denied by hate to express it

But it's more than that; behind them is a voice
Shriveled and weak from disuse; and it's choice
Is to remain silent while being force fed lies
That the two in front are abominations of God

So the voice asks "What is it that makes me alive?"
"If all I've learned is I'm diffrent,"
"Is it living a facade?"
