Teaching Myself

No one is reading from your book

Trickery comes from the best of crooks

To the words I am hooked

Pulled forward alone

No one listens; no one cares

They drift into blank stares

To raise my hand I don’t dare

The nerd who cowers into silence

They look up to the “best”

Yet you look hateful and depressed

Always being second guessed

The ingratitude is beginning to soak in

Please don’t give it all away

It will be appreciated it someday

Don’t just met us half way

We must be guided
