Teaching Us

A person can teach us many things.

Someone has taught another that they are beautiful.

Someone has taught their daughters  that they are strong.

Someone has taught the homeless that they matter.

Someone has taught their husband that love is unconditional

A person can teach both the good and the bad.

They can teach us whether to leave or stay.

They can teach us whether we should run or hide.

But most people teach us who to love and hate.
