Teamwork
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Value of a Friend
9 Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
Look ( worldly)
Just looking at our crew and everyone with their wishes
makes me often wonder and compare them with fishes.
Most are very happy with what they already know
but now I wonder how they help their families grow
If year after year we give in to their wishes
and start to analyze as we do with different fishes.
We see they stopped learning many years ago
but now I start to wonder if learning increases what you know.
Years ago they felt that they knew all they needed.
Maybe they were right they still impress the leaders.
Will the company survive with fixtures from the past
which seem to dwell in all of us, although that cannot last.
I guess we're all so different ... because we're so alike.
Enslaved in our comfort zone and thinking that is life.
“We will fight for freedom” ... is our battle cry.
Now we can make the rules ourselves and we don't even try.
The company's new direction ... do you think it will last
with some new ideas ... building on foundations of the past?
Can we direct our future without the past in mind?
Are these our hidden wishes ... to say it very kind?
What are the chances for us now to succeed?
If what is the best in me is the mediocrity that others "be"?
And what if the best we see ... is just a hollow shell
that so often happens and we know this very well?
Is the scorecard the answer ... will it help a lot?
Or can I fool myself ... putting my wishes in that slot?
On a piece of paper entrusted by my peers
with survival instinct that starts ruling out of fear?
Numbers tell the story ... but what about the heart?
Will we crush the ones ... who feel they ain’t too smart?
Will it bring out the best in us as we form our teams?
Is it as realistic and as practical as it seems?
The center of our effort is human intuition.
Will it motivate the ones ... whose life has no fruition?
And as they battle inferiority that's hidden deep inside.
Will they not strike at others ... simply to survive?
Now to get back to fishes ... where do they fit in?
Well, when danger strikes at them ... they school close within.
and it is the straying one ... that falls a helpless prey
makes me wonder about myself ... what else is there to say?
Afterthought …
If I seem to stray a lot ... I try to show the school,
That sticking together as a team ... Makes you no-one's fool.
Together as a unit ... We will win in the end
To the company's satisfaction ... and return on investment.
As a team, we don't have ... to fear one another,
Neither should we envy … and so ideas to smother.
Just "give our best"... should be our motto
To make all of us winners .... without winning the "lotto".
