A Tear in the Eye of Loneliness

There is a fall wind blowing in my heart

It is terrible to feel inferior

But I don’t care

I am alone

I hide in the dark

Lying more lifeless than a mirage under a somber sun

Nobody seems to notice

I am alone

I am weary of trying to keep up this bluff

I suddenly feel angry

I leave

I am alone

My throat tightens

I walk on

In the bitter cold

I am alone

I am afraid

Do I wish for a gun?

Death would come quick

I am alone

Looking at the dancing flames

Crying

I try hard to forget

I am so alone
