A Tear Rolls Down

A tear rolls down

As a boy clutches his bear

It falls and hits the stones of the town

And mixes with the blood that's there

A tear rolls down

The boy holds his mother's hand

Still both clothed in a nightgown

They are hardly able to stand

A tear rolls down

His mother starts to sob

Amazed at what she has found

At the center of the mob

A tear rolls down

Her husband lays there dying

He holds a pendant that's wound

Around his wrist and he's crying

A tear rolls down

From a family now absent of one

War has feasted and soon is bound

To take the father and his vengeful son
