Tears
Left eye, right eye
Sitting in a prom dress,
no longer too big-
In fact, too small.
Left eye, right eye
Curled up on the floor
not hearing the sobs-
In fact, not hearing at all.
Left eye, right eye
Didn't want to do this
and ruin a pretty gown-
In fact, hoped to stall.
Left eye, right eye
Fell apart, fell to darkness,
but it caught by the throat.
In fact, she's not breathing at all.
