Tears
When I saw those tears drip down your face a piece of my heart died.
When you see someone cry for the first time it hurts.
It hangs with you, it's an image in your mind you can't get rid of.
The weight on your shoulders is unimaginable if you don't know how to help.
Whats done is done, and you will always remember the tears on their face.
It's a scar in your mind, and no matter hard you try to erase their pain nothing will work.
You try to get them smiling, but with each attempt, floods appear.
The cascading waters of emotion encase their face.
Even though you don't want to you give up.
Whats the point in trying to help the unhelpable because sometimes it's more than a cut or a cold.
Sometimes it's beyond an outsiders reach, and there is nothing you can do.
You wait for a reason or a rhyme, but often it's personal.
Until next time you think, but you hope there will never be the next time.
You never want to see someone go through so much pain alone ever again.
