Tears Are Tears

Tears of sadness

Obviously hurt

Tears of happiness

Drench and douse dirt

Tears of blood

Tears of pain

Tears of flood

Tears of chagrin

Tears are tears

Tears of misery

Tears of fears

Tears of slavery

Since quite a few of us are not yet

Mindly emancipated. Like a water jet

I cry for my people

Like a pauper in purple

Tears of anger

Tears of hard labor

Tears of shouting

Tears of hunger

Tears of suffering

Tears of horror

Tears of injustice

Tears for justice and peace

I cry specifically for the corrupt backstabbers

The spies who are in denials like the unsorry haters

My tears flow abundantly

Due to pride and bravery

The struggle will go on for a long time

And we’re willing to fight, to rhyme

Until the last words, until the last breathe

Until racism is extirpated from the Earth

Until our people can see better

Until our people are fully aware

Of what’s going on and do something

About it. Because there will be a spring

Where everything will change for the better

Under the auspices of unity and the flags of valor.
